Kindergarteners did some fun printing to create these Wooly Bear caterpillars. First we looked at 5 wiggly wooly bears that made a guest appearance in class. We talked about what we saw: colors, patterns, spikey fur - and what we knew about these caterpillars. Then the students painted their backgrounds and used a BALLOON to "bop" the caterpillar body on their page. Next, using cut cardboard dipped in paint, they created the spikey hair. Feet, eyes, mouth and multi-colored grass came last.

Kindergarten Wooly Bears
